For all papers with authors on-site, there will be an oral talk as part of a themed session. There will be no poster session. This means that every paper with on-site author(s) will have an ORAL presentation, along with a multimedia presentation video (MPV) for our online platform and for on-site presentation at the conference venue. For virtually attending authors, there will be no live presentation during the conference. In these cases, only the pre-recorded MPV will be made available through the online platform. All virtual attendees will be able to follow the conference through livestreams and video playback.
Talks and Demos
Depending on the track, there will be oral talks or on-site demonstrations for authors who are physically present at the conference venue:
- Regular, BNI, and Grand Challenge papers will be presented via an on-site oral talk (10 minutes + 5 minutes Q/A) and the 10-minute MPV on our virtual platform.
- Demo papers will be presented via an on-site demonstration in a dedicated demo session, and a 5-minute MPV.
- Doctoral Symposium papers will be presented via an on-site oral talk (20 minutes + 10 minutes Q/A) and a 10-minute MPV.
MPVs
For the first time at ACM ICMR, we will use MPVs, which are a replacement for single-media static posters. The MPVs are 10-minute videos (5-minute in case of Demo papers) that summarize the contribution with multiple modalities (e.g., visuals, sound, animation, etc.) and will be available:
- On Whova, our conference app for virtual playback of the MPVs at any time.
- On LED screens around the venue. These screens will automatically cycle through topically grouped MPVs.
Each paper must therefore prepare a 10-minute video (5-minute in case of Demo papers) summarising the paper’s content.
MPV Recording, Upload and Link Submission via EasyChair
To record the MPV, you may use for example Zoom:

To upload and publish MPV in YouTube Studio, follow these steps:
- Sign in to YouTube Studio.
- In the top-right corner, click CREATE and then Upload videos.
- Select the file you’d like to upload.
- Be sure to click Edit on the file to edit your video details.
- As the title for your video, use: ACM ICMR 2026 <Title of Your Paper>
- On the Visibility page, choose Unlisted or Public option and publish the video

Once your MPV is recorded, uploaded to YouTube and published as Unlisted or Public:
- Copy the entire YouTube URL of your MPV
- Log into your EasyChair account and click to view your ICMR paper
- Click on “Update information”
- Paste the URL of your YouTube MPV into the field “YouTube Video Link” and press “Update Information”
The deadline for submitting a YouTube link for your MPV is 8 june 2026 AoE.
